Jorge Salazar

Jorge is a risk practitioner and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with over 20 years of experience in solving complex problems through advanced data modeling and analysis. He graduated in economics from the National University of Argentina where he taught statistics and econometrics. In 2001, Jorge started his consulting career as a transfer pricing analyst with pwc in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2004 he relocated to Toronto to join pwc's Center for Economic Excellence (CfEE) where here performed statistical and time series analyses for various sectors including banking, pharma, automobile and aerospace. In 2009, Jorge joined Deloitte's transfer pricing practice in Calgary as an economist with a special focus on the oil & gas industry. And since 2012 Jorge has worked with Nutrien Ltd. (formerly, Agrium Inc.) as a Risk Specialist where he carries out risks analyses to enable effective decision-making using data analytics, time series modeling and Monte Carlo simulation.
